Timex is known for its 100% authentic, high-quality timepieces showcasing design and elegance in every watch. Timex is easily the most popular brand if you’re looking for a watch or a smartwatch online. What started as the Waterbury Clock Company in 1854 has been a legacy of exquisite timepieces for all. Continuing this legacy, Timex has launched its Waterbury Ocean collection with a make that our environment needs desperately.
From waste to wrist
With the environment taking a hit from all the years of pollution, we must step toward a cleaner future. It is time we declare freedom from plastic waste in the most eco-friendly way possible. This is what Timex’s new Waterbury Ocean collection represents. Our oceans are brimming with plastic waste, and some organizations help clean and use the waste as sustainable materials – Tide is one of them. Its Tide Ocean Material is used as raw material for watches. Using waste to make something valuable saves resources while reducing the pollutants in the water body.
Timex has collaborated with Tide to create the Waterbury Ocean collection, which utilizes 100% ocean-bound plastic. Designed with the slogan “From waste to wrist,” these watches use Tide Ocean Material as raw material.
Waterbury Ocean
The watches in this new collection use upcycled ocean plastic for the case, dial, and bracelet. The process starts with fishermen collecting ocean plastic from coastlines, and the waste is washed and shredded. It is then sent to Switzerland using carbon-neutral transport and turned into sustainable material. Collaborating with Tide, these watches are stunning while being eco-friendly. Celebrating Independence Day by getting one of these is perfect.
